Go To Spot.

What is your go to when you are running short on time or low on willpower?

You get off work, it's sunny 75 degrees, blue skies, it has been a long week, your best friend just got off work and sends you a text. “What’s up, let’s get a drink, do you have a spot?”

Instantly. No energy needed. “Yeah I know a place.”

Your go to place provides stability and a way to bypass how much will power you may have left in the tank 0 or 100%. Your go to place to grab a drink with your friend is an easy choice when you get off work and it is one of those days where you just don’t feel like cooking.

Quick draw like the wild west, for an easy decision when you are running low on will power. Showing up in the best way with the least amount of energy cost as possible.

Now apply that to investing in your physical health.

What is your go to when you are running short on time or low on willpower? It has been a hard day or week. How can you leverage the path of least resistance, bypass willpower, and keep compounding your investment in your health.

For example, here are some of my go-to’s.

  1. Go for a 3-5 mile run down Willamette Blvd near my apartment. Same route every time. Goal is nasal breath and keep heart rate below 150.

  2. Hill Work. 20 yards of skips for height, bounds, and sprints. 4-6 Reps of Each.

  3. Kettlebell Series (Push Up, Overhead Press, Single Arm Row, Curls, and Goblet Squat)

  4. 2 Arm Kettlebell Swings for 5 Minutes. 10-15 Swings on the 30 second mark (Comes out to 10 sets)

Make it simple. Find your go to.
